Roku tv steam link app7/6/2023 I'm planning to buy the cable to try that. So my backup solution IN THEORY so far is to use a <50 feet | <15 meters long HDMI cable and just directly plug the pc to the tv and adust tv's settings for gaming mode with all the fancy stuff turned off. Other problem i have from this: i have my pc's monitor turned on all the time with steamlink and with disabled monitor, steamlink ain't working. It mirrors your compatible computer's Steam app and game. This device does ONE thing, and it does it well. I don't connect my controller to tv, instead i use it from pc, coz when pc was near tv, my gamepad was losing connection sometimes. The Steam Link hardware is a little box that connects via HDMI to your television. Also i'll try fiddling with tv's image settings, so still figuring it out. I've googled it, and it seems an often and old problem that is usually resolved with disabling encoding on pc and decoding on tv. Some games run pretty good, like marvel avengers.īUT i get random blackscreens every minute or two for a second. Also my pc is near sofa and is lan connected. Around 4-5 meters from the sofa, that is near windows. That said though: i've installed steam link app on tv, tv runs on wifi 5, is big enough and hangs on the opposing wall from the window. Steam link hardware is easier to use, obviously and good for older/simplier tvs. ![]() And i heard only good stuff about that, so i plan to buy it.įor TV if your tv is smart enough to use ethernet/wifi 5gz and install android apps, you can just install official steam link app, which i suppose you already did. ![]() Feels good in hands and holds charge pretty good (connected to pc)Anyways, xbox one controllers may be bundled with rechargable batteries AND microsoft's own bluetooth hub that can connect, i think, up to 8 contorollers. Controllers - i'm currently using Xbox One gamepad with 2 AA batteries and third party bluetooth usb stick. Hi!As a dude who just started setting up my own "couch place" and pc player only with xbox controllers i can give a few pointers|IMHOs, may be ok for you.
